Major inspections
that keep people safe
An elevated work platform only stays safe if the last major inspection was thorough. Choosing a reputable provider who puts the effort in is not paperwork theatre - it is how operators working at height stay protected.
- Strip-down, not a once-over
Critical components come apart. Welds, pins, hydraulics and structure get the time they need - not a same-day glance in a car park.
- What looks fine can still fail
Hairline weld cracks, worn pin joints and hidden corrosion are what a proper inspection finds. Those are the issues that put operators at risk.
- AS2550 Part 10 done properly
Legal compliance matters - WorkSafe, insurance, site access. More importantly, a thorough inspection is how people working at height go home safe.
Real findings on a
JCB 535-140 Loadall
A recent major inspection on a JCB 535-140 Loadall telehandler at our Williamstown workshop. From the outside it looked fine - once stripped, the findings were the ones a rushed inspection never sees.
- Looks fine from the yard
This JCB 535-140 Loadall looked ready for work until it hit the workshop. Tyre sidewall cuts, split hoses and heavy contamination only show up once you strip it properly.
- Boom open, no shortcuts
The boom came off the machine and onto stands so structure, hose runs and contamination could be assessed end to end - not a once-over from outside.
- Telehandlers to AS2550.19
Same standard of inspection we apply to EWPs. Telehandlers get the full major inspection treatment in our Williamstown workshop - not a same-day van job.
